Te Mata Cape Crest & Awatea Cabernets Merlot presented in a wooden twinbox, with wine knife. Since 1984, Cape Crest has developed an International following for its unique expression of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Barrel fermented with touches of Semillon and Pinot Gris, it is concentrated and complex with toast, citrus blossom, pear and stonefruit characters. First made in 1982, Awatea continues to represent the best of the classic Hawke's Bay cabernet/merlot blend. Floral aromas with intense blackberry, currant and dark plum flavours lead to a rich, supple palate with a sustained finish. Awatea will continue to evolve in bottle for ten years from harvest.
